I started working at age 15 when I set up the retail e-commerce arm for my family's manufacturing business. Today, it is an established brand receiving over 20,000 orders annually.
While pursuing my engineering degree at the Manipal Institute of Technology, I explored a variety of industries and professions – both on campus and at places like SBI Mutual Fund and Koç University Istanbul.
During my time in Manipal – I was elevated to the National Committee Board of IAESTE India, co-founded a consulting club, and won the Apple WWDC18 Scholarship.
By the time I graduated, I had interned in business/operations, design, and engineering/science roles. These experiences led me to the Master of Integrated Innovation for Products and Services program at Carnegie Mellon University.
At CMU, I am working towards increasing my breadth of knowledge and honing my skills as a transdisciplinary innovator. In my first semester I won the CMU Hack-A-Startup – competing against 130 participants, pitching an idea for cross-game digital assets to a panel of VCs.
For my Capstone project, I worked with a team and a corporate sponsor to create a power-actuated deployable stair for curtain-side trucks, employing the Integrated New Product Development process.
During summer, I was Intuit's first Design Program Manager Intern, where I got the chance to create meaningful impact as a new entrant in the evolving DesignOps community.
In my third and final semester at CMU, I will continue as a graduate teaching assistant, work on my master's thesis, take a mix of classes from schools across the university, and will be looking for a job to start working full-time in early 2023.
